Oil Painting

In this fun camp, learn to oil paint from still life for the first two days and select a portrait, animal, or landscape for the second two days.  Students will learn to work safely and neatly with oils, understand the concept of mixing colors using opposites by making their own color wheel.  Also how to build a painting in layers starting with big shapes and refining to the details.  They will be introduced to brushwork and strengthen their observation skills.   See where your imagination takes you with color, brush strokes and discovery!  We will be using traditional oil paints with non-toxic and safe cleaners, no solvents.
